Division I

#4 Clayton Valley at #1 De La Salle – Wednesday, 7pm

De La Salle continued their relentless march to a fourth consecutive Division I NCS title on Saturday by defeating Pittsburg 2-1 on their home field. #4 Clayton Valley, fresh off a 4-1 victory over #5 Monte Vista, will be next up to try to stop the Spartans, who are 16-0-1 in their last 17, but lost 1-0 to the Eagles back on December 21st. This has the makings of a physical derby match.

De La Salle (20-3-2) outplayed #9 Pittsburg on Wednesday, as Carlo Eikani nailed the first goal of the game in the first half and Johnny Marcinkowski scored the winning goal. The goal allowed against the Pirates was the first one the Spartans have allowed in their last six games, as De La Salle shut out #16 Antioch in the opener, 7-0.
