Bay Preps Report: Severson appears headed to Colorado, Gates to Penn, and More

Valley Christian running back Ryan Severson, the WCAL rushing champion, has de-committed from San Jose State and is expected to follow Mike MacIntyre to Colorado, according to Jimmy Durkin.

Valley Christian coach Mike Machado: “Nothing official yet, but I certainly expect him to be at Colorado.”

The 5-foot-11, 195 pound running back/defensive back rushed for 1,951 yards and had 39 total touchdowns this past season. Severson was a big part of the Warriors CCS Division III championship team and was named the Mercury News’ offensive player of the year.

His quarterback at Valley Christian was Jay MacIntyre, the son of Colorado’s new coach. Jay MacIntyre has already moved with his family to Boulder and is attending Monarch High School.

Severson is a two-star recruit according to Rivals.
