Tuesday’s Bay Preps Report: Ladoucuer is national coach of the year, plus Freedom’s Daniels, Mixon recruiting news

In his final season as De La Salle’s head coach, Bob Ladouceur was honored as MaxPreps’ national coach of the year, writes Stephen Spiewak.

Ladouceur: “I enjoyed every minute. I couldn’t have asked for a better career or life, and I couldn’t have asked for a better school. It’s an amazing place. There’s a lot of community and love, a lot of people so dedicated to what they do. It’s not about money or the paycheck. It’s about the mission, about walking away from this life and leaving your little space a better place.”

We covered Ladouceur’s press conference from January 4.

  • Before heading there this summer, Washington commit Darrell Daniels will be taking an official visit to Seattle this weekend.
